Sailing 2025 with Dolphins and Whales!

Planning for 2025 is underway and the boat is on land in Carlingford, Ireland and is ready to go on an adventure, but before launching, new antifouling will be painted to avoid too much vegetation on the bottom.

2025-04-01 at the first possible weather window we will sail south towards the Scilly Isles. The next stage will be to sail across the English Channel towards Les Sables-d'Olonne. The shipyard that built the boat is located there and I thought I would visit to get tips and at the same time see how aluminum boats are built today. Hopefully you can take away tips on possible upgrades and get inspiration. After Les Sables-d'Olonne, the plan is to continue along the French, Spanish and Portuguese coasts down to Lisbon. From Lisbon we will then sail over to Porto Santo which is intended to be our home port in 2025. The sailing area will be the coast of Madeira, the Canary Islands and the archipelago of the Azores. These sailing waters are home to a rich marine life and we will probably often sail with Dolphins and Whales. In 2026 (January) I plan to sail across the Atlantic towards the Caribbean. I will probably sail towards the Pacific Ocean after the Caribbean and set course for the Tuamoto Islands and diving in Fakarawa atoll.
